i got the same tire as you want (205/40/17). mine is Nitto tires (Japan). I got a problem because my G-games wheel has +40 offset, the rear tires are rubbing on the fender when Im fully loaded even in a small uneven surface...Im planning to change my wheels sooner or later

Rubbing with +40 offset? Only time I started rubbing was when I had 17x7.5, ET28 with 205/40/17 tires. Rolled the rear fenders, and rubbing went away. Now I'm on 17x8, ET32 in the back, and no rubbing.

ya, that's why i need to check again, the funny thing is that Im not the one having this same prob. one of my friend also having the same specs of the tire and the most of the rubbing is only on the right rear tire. he just put a stopper on his spring and the rubbing is gone during uneven surface.

That is odd that you are rubbing on that set up. On 8" wide wheel, +20 on 195s I barely rubbed. I was pm 15s but my fender gap is non existant so I should be rubbing a lot more than you if you're rubbing already.

I did have the same thing you describe where only my rear driver tire rubbed which was caused by the seating postion combined with the lower spring rate in the rear.

Try rolling/pulling the fenders

Mind taking some closer pics of your wheel/tire and fender? Shouldn't be rubbing too badly (if at all) with +40 unless your rims are super wide.

Y does my car lag when I turn fast corners? Will my lowering springs have any affect once I get them installed? Any advice?

Because your have a sub woofer at the back. That's why, IMO.

The springs will improve the handling.

It drifts a little on a side like on sharp right turns. I have to break continuously before I turn instead of turning and keeping my momentum. Will a rear sway bar make any improvements?

Stiffer springs would help some, but a sway bar would help a LOT.

this ^^ and dampers other torsion beams like sway/room bars/x braces/under body bracing/tires/wider wheel base from spacers... might be more too, lowering the car will lower the center of gravity and reduce body roll too

I should stop driving fast, but I cant help it. I think im going to start with installing a TRD Rear Sway Bar which should be easy considering it has 4 bolts. I finally found a place who can install my TEIN Lowering Springs if anyone is interested I can show you a picture of how my car looks like before & after (in the future).

**BTW dont call Toyota dealership to install lowering springs they quoted me $900 & I also called a Tire & Auto Centers they quoted $1,000 & they tried to talk me out of it saying it will mess up my suspension .... really, then y do people still do it hahaha. I trust Toyota dealership than any other new establishment, but since when does lowering your car ever come out to $1,000 (I can save that money to do a paint job) ! Its usually $300-$600

Dealer ship will charge $$$ due to the fact that they have higher overhead cost. Besides, it's just springs. You can probably do it on your own if you have the proper tools. What made you go with Teins? Add some chassis parts and you'll have less body roll and it'll help a small car like a Yaris.

Would lowering my car help with body lift? At highway speeds, I can just feel the body lift up off the springs. With the boxy body and light weight, gusts of wind on the highway cause horrible body sway. At low speeds, the stock springs don't handle half bad, I just hate the sway at high speeds. And don't laugh, but a trailer hitch stiffens up the rear of the body.
