Chatting with some folks that are techs in a couple other groups I am in it seems there is a general consensus of the following in general:

There've been issues on a bunch of Toyotas with scoring on the input shaft sleeve that the bearing slides on, causing it to not slide back and get overworked. I wonder if they've checked that to see if it's sticking when replacing it?
