They have kits for 2005 onwards.

Basically it keeps the drum functionality for the ebrake only and uses a caliper for the braking.

Very interesting! In the comments, someone asked if they could do this kit for the 2nd generation. Their response was:

"As our understanding, Yaris is all the same through different generation.
Please refer to our website, check the installation guide for Yaris.
If the bolt of the hub is the same, they should be all the same".

Its easily DIY.

The Kit looks to be really well made.

Its also mentioned in the comments other calipers and pads can be used.Those are not specific for this setup.

Awesome. Can't wait to hear about it. Wonder if it would make sense to order an extra set of discs and ebrake drum pads.

The drum pads dont really concern me as they will only be used when parked.Cant see those wearing down with no movement/friction.

The disc drum does concern me though.

If it does work for 2007 models then its probaly the easiest way to get disc setup plug and play.

No need for modifications like other disc conversions(Runstop)and either having to replace axle(SE) part like mentioned on other threads

First I know nothing about any of these rear brake conversions... could there be from the plant some sort of front/rear proportioning valve to handle differently the two setups available according to trim ? considering what little duty rears do I would be tempted to retain drums as I feel in our Canadian climate an enclosed system handles better salt exposure and corrosion !

Yup. Nice, but out of my budget for brake work. I imagine a person could safely add on another $400.00 - $500.00, if not more, for freight. Not saying it's unreasonably priced, just more than I'd be willing to spend on a brake upgrade.

I also agree that the stock drum setup would be better sealed for Canadian winters, though my turbo RS never sees winter.

Oh, I misread the response. I thought that it was $800.00 + $580.00 + shipping. I agree, $580.00 is very reasonable. Please let me know what you're quoted for shipping.

I assumed by the wording that if you were in thailand the price was 800 including installation

And the cost for the item was 500 plus shipping.

I will post back when I get the quote and ask them total price for the whole deal.

No, I think you're right. I does sound like $580.00 plus shipping. The decrease from $800.00 being that they don't do the installation. Looking forward to your quote. Thanks for doing this. It may become a popular mod.
