cracked manifold

I guess if you throw 350 hp at it long enough, something is going to break.

Ehhh I feel sorry for you \Garm..... I hope this will not happen to me !

Funny thing I am not seeing carbon all around the manifold... are you sure it is cracked?

The manifold was Jet-Hotted, that explains its overall color.

The carbon is exhaust gas coming out through the cracks. Trust me, it's got cracks in it!

Damn that sucks, but like you said...you use it and it will eventually give way...just the nature of the beast. At least it wasn't something like an output shaft or losing a gear.

On the bright side, at least it wasn't the block or the head!
Is that cast? The cracked areas looks like it can be welded again... Unless you plan on replacing it altogether.

Going to replace it. Art doesn't want to weld on Jet Hot (or any other coating), which I learned yesterday is wise advice.

^ LOL, that movie actually did get me into tuner cars in the first place. And every time I hook up my laptop to data log, it reminds me of that.

Hmm looks like you were not putting out enough power. If you were running 400whp then it would not break. Due to the turbo encabulator rotation of the prefixed particle molecule, it built up enough fail to break the manifold.

I bet if you would have used an upgraded Hemway during the process you would have been file. In this case since it is already broken you should upgrade to a better flux capacitor while you have it off.

Could it be a lack of bracing and the weight of the turbo? I know the stock manifold has bracing to the block.
