Intermittent ABS Light
Hi all,
I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris 1.4 Diesel that is turning on its ABS light on every other drive. I checked the ABS codes today and the three it came back with are:
Both rear hubs have been changed in the past which contain the ABS sensor but I thought it strange that both codes have been triggered for both sides at the same time? Has anyone dealt with this problem before and can offer some advice? I am hesitant about replacing both rear hubs with the ABS sensor built in, to find it does not solve my problem! Thanks in advance. |

Had this. Authorized shop told me that this is unfortunately common problem for Yarises 2006 and newer. The connector of the ABS wires is not well protected against water, salt etc. so it eventually corrodes so heavily that the metallic contacts basically disappear... A piece of ABS harness needs to be changed completely.
Had this like 10 years ago. The shop changed the wiring (it was not expensive) and problem solved. |
